Whats Going On? Permanent collection rehang
For this rehang in 2013, Professor Raimi Gbadamosi, artist, writer and curator was invited to bring new meaning to our permanent displays by making a fresh selection of artworks from our stored collections, complemented by new loans of contemporary artworks to hang alongside the Usher Gallery’s familiar highlights. Here at The Usher Gallery, Raimi Gbadamosi revealed the fascination and drama of war, weapons and violence, as well as the underlying political messages embodied in our celebrated museums and galleries.
