The Norton Disney Dodecahedron

Rare Roman dodecahedron on loan to Lincoln Museum from the Norton Disney History and Archaeology Group.

This rare 12 sided object was discovered in a dig in Norton Disney, in summer 2023, and this is the first time it is on display in Lincolnshire. It is one of only 33 found in Britain, and the first from the Midlands. It isn’t known for certain what it was used for but may have a ritual or religious function.

The dodecahedron is on display in Lincoln Museum from Saturday 4 May until late August 2024.
