Viking explorers day

Join us for a Viking Explorers Day

A family day celebrating Viking explorers!

Come and listen to tales of daring and adventure in the archaeology gallery. There will be free storytelling sessions at 10:30 and 13:00.

If you enjoy making things, why not try some of our Viking Explorer themed crafts. Each craft costs £2. Come and find the learning team in the orientation hall to see what you can make.

In addition, at 11:00 and 14:00 there will be a workshop for children of all ages called "Be a Viking". For £3 children will have the chance to dress like a Viking, taste Viking bread, make a Viking coin and learn about Viking customs. Pre booking not available for the 2pm session (please sign up on the day), but will be available for the 11am session (please ask at reception).
