Come and watch an array of dramatic performances created by and starring University of Lincoln drama students.

The Collection and Usher Gallery is co-operating with the University of Lincoln and its drama department to host a full day of varying dramatic performances that have been created entirely by university students. Visitors are welcome to visit both The Collection and usher Gallery, where these performances will run throughout the day in each venue. Below is a detailed list of the performances scheduled:

Title: Out of Site, Out of Mind
Performers: Jody Connolly & Danielle Swabey
Venue: Usher Gallery
Welcome to the in-between. A place once so worn and loved by those who entered. A place that is always locked. A place to escape. In a place forgotten and discarded, we invite you to notice.
 
Title: 46,572 Steps
Performers: Emily Brunt & Sophie Cole
Venue: Usher Gallery (Gallery 2)
Show Times: 10:30am, 12:30pm, 14:30pm (15 minutes showtime)
Thier performance is based on a twenty mile walk that links Horncastle to a painting displayed in The Usher Gallery by Peter De Wint.
 
Title: Recollection- ‘25p and there’s your receipt…the Italians…that’s amazing’

Venue: The Collection (Main Entrance)

Recollection is a journey through the sonic atmospheres of The Collection. Typically, galleries are viewed as being places of quite reflection. However, Recollection transcends this lineal audio experience, exploring and manipulating the sound in and around the galleries.

Title: A Framed Navigation

A navigation [tour guide] of The Usher Art Gallery, that presents a different perspective of The Usher and art galleries, as a whole, using Institutional Critique and Art Attacks. Furthermore, throughout the navigation we will be carefully transporting an empty white frame, following official guidelines, through The Usher.

Venue: Outside of The Collection's main entrance

Misinformatorium is a guided tour of the Lincoln Collection, presented by three students from the University of Lincoln. While the history we describe may not be quite as accurate as you’d expect, we hope that it will leave you entertained and ready to learn more.
