Undressing a Knight
Have you ever wondered how heavy a suit of armour was, or how long it would take to put on or take off, or even how a Knight in armour could go to the toilet!
Well now's your chance. Especially for the 800th anniversary of The Battle of Lincoln, our medieval arms and armour specialist Mark Vance will be able to tell you all the secrets of being a Knight or a Squire.
Demonstrations at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm & 3.30pm of dressing and undressing a Knight throughout the day with opportunities to handle replica armour and try pieces on. A great family experience.
There will be children's shield making arts and crafts (free of charge) 11am-4pm. Children can design their own shield and heraldry - support thee King or Prince Louis? The choice is yours!
And on 20th May join the procession and walk up steep hill with your shields. After enjoy storytelling a re-enactment of The Battle of Lincoln outside the Lincoln cathedral.
