‘The Journey - a Celebration of Lincoln City FC 2016-18’

An exhibition celebrating Lincoln's love for the Imps

'The Journey - a Celebration of Lincoln City FC 2016-18’ runs from Saturday 23 June until Sunday 22 July and charts the Imps’ two historic seasons under the Cowley brothers’ leadership, with fans being given the opportunity to get up close to the coveted Checkatrade Trophy!

Following two remarkable seasons for Lincoln City Football Club culminating in almost 30,000 fans travelling to Wembley, "The Journey" is a display charting the success of the football club, with a variety of professional sports photography conveying the campaign for promotion, the journey to FA Cup history in 2016/17 and the 2018 Trophy winning day at Wembley.  The exhibition has been organised by Lincolnshire County Council in partnership with the Football Club and their expert fan Chris Ashton and photographer Chris Vaughan, along with BBC Radio Lincolnshire.  The exhibition is due to run from Sat 23rd June to Sun 22nd July and admission is free.  For the first two weeks the actual Checkatrade Trophy will also be on display with opportunity for selfies and photos alongside a variety of items reflecting the Football Club's history from the Heritage Service's collection.  There's also opportunity for fans to leave their own memories of the past two seasons on the fan wall in the exhibition.
