SPACE at The Collection

A temporary exhibition of space memorabilia exploring 30 years of space exploration

A display of space memorabilia from the private collection of archaeologist and science profesional Charles Simpson.

The objects on display represent an era of space exploration spanning 30 years and encompass items from the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, ASTP and Shuttle programs. They have been sourced from all over the world and have come from private collections, NASA employees and many of the astronauts themselves. The rarest pieces include a Gemini 3 patch and medallion which flew into orbit with astronaut Gus Grissom in 1965, and the fragments of Skylab are among some of the larger pieces in private ownership.

Charles Simpson is a Fellow of both the Royal Astronomical Society and the British Interplanetary Society.
