Soundwall - The Planets and the Gods

The Planets and the Gods is a site specific multi-channel composition that explores the relationship between space, planets, and ancient mythologies. The piece is 15minutes 21seconds in length and is composed of 6 distinct sections. Each section displays a narrative of the planets in our solar system and their associated Greek or Roman gods. The composition is an abstract response to the broad themes of space and is designed to complement the Museum of the Moon exhibition by Luke Jerram by surrounding the moon with the voices of the solar system. These voices come in the form of NASA archive material, ambient compositions and field recordings.
