LOV film festival
Parallax Film Festival is a free, independent film festival taking place at The Collection on the 12th and 13th of November 2016.
Across the two days, we will be screening a selection of British and International independent films, as well as running a number of exhibitions, all revolving around the broad theme of youth.
The screenings will consist of four hand-picked features, with well-known directors and stars, and an assortment of submitted features and shorts.
Parallax Film Festival also includes exhibitions from General Practice. Who will be bringing art work to exhibit based around the festival’s theme of youth as well as having with them a bicycle that is used to create sound art.
Chris Norvill, a sound artist, has also created a piece of work to be played through The Collection’s Sound Wall on both festival days that depicts youth. The Sound Wall art is going to be played at 2:15pm and 2:40pm on both festival days plus at 5:30pm on Sunday 13th November too.
Age restriction for all screenings is 14+ unless otherwise stated.

A feature length documentary that reveals the impact that art and creativity had in a group of 'at risk' teenagers from Laventille, the most marred by violence community in Trinidad and Tobago.
Screening also includes the short films Totem, Relativity Explained to Children and Engulfed by Destiny in Skopelos.

A spiritual sequel to Dazed and Confused, Everybody Wants Some!! follows a group of college baseball players in the 1980s, as they navigate their way through the freedoms and responsibilities of unsupervised adulthood.
