LAS pop up residency Emily Cartright
As part of the 2024 Lincolnshire Artists’ Society exhibition at the Usher Gallery ten members are taking up residence in the gallery space on Saturdays throughout the run of the exhibition. The artists will show samples, display methods and techniques, talk to visitors about their own practice and their involvement with LAS during these pop-up residencies.

This Saturday Emily Cartright will be taking up residence in the Usher Gallery within the LAS exhibition. During her residency Emily Cartwright will be working on some origami and paper manipulation experiments. Showcasing the similar techniques used within her exhibited piece. She will demonstrate how she uses this to inform her future piece of work. Emily Cartwright is a mixed media artist who creates intricate geometric drawings, often including paper cutting, quilling or origami in her work. Emily works regularly with schools and community groups for events across Lincolnshire, creating installations with an emphasis on reusing and recycling materials.
