John Burnside Lecture

Alan Parker, Chairman of Lincolnshire Artists’ Society said: ” I am absolutely delighted that, after years of trying, I can announce that this year’s Lincolnshire Artists’ Society lecture will be by the award winning poet and author John Burnside. The lecture is at The Collection Auditorium 7-8pm Friday 26th January.

Tickets are limited and priority will be given to members of the Society and English departments in schools in the City. However, some tickets will be available to members of the public. The tickets will be £5 each and available from me to buy or reserve (you’ll be able to pay and collect them on the door) at chairmanatlas@gmail.com.

John will read from his poetry and speak about ‘Poetry about Painting’ for which he is widely known and admired. John can be seen all over the internet speaking about his tremendous insights into art and I cannot recommend highly enough his collection Black Cat Bone and also his series of autobiographies about his difficult start in life and his struggle to become a writer.”
