Guest Lecture - Jennie Syson
A guest lecture held by writer and curator Jennie Syson organised by the University of Lincoln.
The University of Lincoln School of Art & Design and The Collection have arranged for curator and writer Jennie Syson to perform a guest lecture on curating. Jennie will discuss her experiences from starting out in the curating world to her accomplishments and how to enter curating as a profession.
Jennie Syson is an independent curator and writer. She is the founding director and curator of Hinterland, a series of site specific contemporary art projects in Nottingham and was the co-ordinator of the fringe to the British Art Show 7, Sideshow. As co-editor of Nottingham Visual Arts, she manages an online magazine, newsletter and listings website dedicated to the contemporary Nottingham art scene. She is also the founder and director of a new commercial gallery, SYSON.
The talk begins at 3.30pm in the AV theatre.
