Join Helen Hancocks in the Usher Gallery to create your very own paper mask portrait! Draw inspiration from the artists, artworks and community groups featured in our Community Choice exhibition and help us to create a unique community portrait to show off at the end of the workshop! This workshop is suitable for everyone aged 5 years and over. There is no need to book, and all materials will be supplied.

Helen is an illustrator and writer based in Lincoln, UK. Her work includes her debut book, 'Penguin In Peril' which was nominated for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and 'Why Do We Wear Clothes?', which was a collaboration with Puffin Books and the V&A. She often organises workshops and events within schools, bookshops and museums to run alongside her work and has exhibited around the UK & Europe. She is the founder and owner of the picture book shop Shelf Editions.
