Christmas Artisan Market at The Collection

The Collection museum's Christmas Artisan Market returns for a whole weekend from 20 - 21 November 2021.

Our Christmas Artisan Market will be full of all things festive and yule-tide inspired!

Tick off all your Christmas list by shopping and supporting our local artisan makers who will have a wide range of produce on sale - including food, drink, crafts and plenty more!

Visitors can expect over 20 stalls offering a wide range of products, including woodwork, jewellery, glassware, children's toys and original artwork. All products are handmade by local artists and crafters.  Visitors can also find a range of food and drink produce including handmade chutney, chocolate and cakes.
The market will be complemented by workshops including;

On Saturday

CONFIRMED STALLHOLDERS 

We are delighted to announce the confirmed stallholders who will be at to our Christmas Artisan Market. We have included their stall location where they will be positioned throughout the weekend - unless otherwise stated. The event will take place inside The Collection Museum which is fully accessible. All stalls are located on the ground floor, with exception to those based within our Cafe. The Cafe is fully accessible by lift at the main entrance or outside courtyard entrance adjacent to the Cafe.

Gentlemen Distillers -  Lincoln based distillery offering their Bandsmans Gins Ensemble, there will be samples to try! 

Sloom and Co -  environmentally conscious company who create small batch soy wax melts and hand-poured wood wick candles. All of their products are vegan, paraben and cruelty free. 


Chalk Hill Ceramics - handcrafted ceramics made by Deanne Seaman who inspired by wildlife, nature and the landscape around her in the Wolds.

Aprils Papers Creations 

"My fascination with paper began as a young chil and this developed into an urge to experiment and examine the techniques that manipulate paper into art and I began my paper cutting journey in the Autumn of 2016. I find my inspiration all around me, a subject, a photograph, a texture, a colour, a pattern, a story.  I feel very honoured when I am asked to cut a customer's personal image into a treasured gift and keepsake".

Polly Roylance Art - local illustrator who creates a selection of paintings, illustrations, greeting cards and personalised gifts, inspired by, colour, wildlife, local landscapes and nature. 


Rebecca Harrison Designs - is a talented, self-taught, multi-faceted artist who creates beautiful illustrations, greetings cards, original art and prints, inspired by the sea and beachscapes and local Lincolnshire landscapes around her. 


Kay Jay Clay - bright, bold, statement jewellery handmade from polymer clay - trades at various craft trade shows across the East Midlands. 


L.K. Devereux - Illustrations & Artwork
I am a Lincolnshire based artist and illustrator working in watercolours, pastels, inks and pencils. My work is inspired by nature, heritage and folklore, by line and by colour.

Under A Topaz Sky - is all about turning the unwanted and unloved into exclusive bespoke hand crafted jewellery. Under A Topaz Sky aim is to rescue and up-cycle vintage jewellery, either through adding embroidery, felting, patchwork, or found objects, including beachcombed pottery and sea glass, or a combination of various elements from several pieces to create something completely new.


Webster Custom Woodworking - following recent redundancy after 30 years working in IT, Paul Webster followed his passion for woodworking "I take great pleasure in taking rough sawn timber and turning it into beautiful handcrafted wood items that are attractive as well as useful".


Old School Crafts Minting is a craft hub, based in a former village school that dates from the 1860s. Set in the small village of Minting in the heart of rural Lincolnshire and on the edge of the Wolds, from here, they offer a variety of craft courses. They will be offering a range of handmade books and a range of archaeocrafts to purchase.

Heart and Country - creates hand stitched, beautifully decorated gifts for the home, selling a vast range of Christmas decorations you need! 

Entangles (Sat only) creates felted treasures, fluff and fun. Founded by felt artist Jo Cook who workd with both traditional wet felting techniques and needle felting. Jo creates original art pieces as well as custom orders such as pet portraits, and wearable felted accessories.


SP Creative Crafts (Sun only) is a lacemaker and use the lace in framed items as well as jewellery and fashion accessories, SP Creative Crafts was developed from a love of crafts, and I have learnt many crafts from my mother, which is why both our initials are in the business name “SP”. Bobbin lace uses the traditional techniques with modern threads to produce individually handcrafted items for Individuals and their homes.


Lucky Bird (Sat only) is Kim Jenkins who was born in Hull and went on to study Fine Art Printmaking at Camberwell college of Art. "I am a keen cyclist and keen on birds and wildlife which reflects in my work. I enjoy printing and making things by hand and hope to continue to do so for a very long time. I create my own range of printed products including greetings cards, sketch books, gift tags and key rings".


Bitsa (Sun only) is artist Sue Hart who creates original art work, greetings card and fun and quirky decorations which are all inspired by wildlife.

Kevin Collins - The Wooden Toy Maker (Sat only) makes traditional toys from recycled wood, he sells a range of recognisable favourites including Noah's ark boats, aeroplanes, push-alongs, whirly gigs and much more. 

Felty Bits (Sun only) makes handmade felt using both traditional wet felting techniques and needle felting to produce animal/ toadstool sculptures, felted landscapes/pictures, felted scarves and accessories using a variety of wools and other fibres.


Museum


From the Seas by Margaret creates unique pieces of jewellery and crafts from the treasures found when beach combing around the shores of Great Britain, mainly from the North East coast of England and the East coast of Scotland. 


Lincoln Lamps - we love to upcycle, recycle and turn any unloved and unusual object into a beautiful and practical lamp! 

 

Fiona Hodges Art  - I create hand built ceramic sculptures/figurines, decorative functional ceramics and paintings, prints and greetings cards. My main subject is animals, sometimes realistic and sometimes caricature – from domestic pets to wildlife. 


Jem Dunn Designs - is a Lincolnshire artist who works in acrylic ink and gouache. She creates florals and landscapes inspired by the many local beauty spots, exploring often overlooked corners.
 

Bags of Imagination (Sat only) 

At Bags of Imagination we lovingly design and hand crochet characters for the accompanying book to ignite the imagination and bring stories to life.
Our characters are meticulously handmade by us, using a thoughtful design process and skills learned from being life long crafters,  book lovers and mums. The story sets we create are loved by families and nurseries to encourage an early love of books, stories and reading through the medium of play. Bags of Imagination will be running Storytime at 11am and 2pm on Saturday in the auditorium, see link above to book! 


Liz McLelland Art (Sun only) - Handmade, original, animal ceramics and paintings. 


Fabric Tattoos Embroidery (Sat only) is modern hand embroider inspired by traditional tattoo styles and tattoo culture, with an eco-conscious core. 

Archibald And Theodore (Sun only) are a small family ran business selling personalised gifts for babies and children, including height charts, milestone cards, soft toys, prints and clothes.


Café 

Our Cafe at The Collection which will be serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and soup and will be open 10am - 4pm.

Remember to pre-book your 'Our Plastic Ocean' exhibition tickets which will entitle you to 10% discount in our Cafe.

On Sunday outside in our Courtyard we will be joined by Junk Soul Smothered who will be serving up plant based & vegan food pop up - will be offering burgers and much more! 

Deliciously Grace - are a family run chocolatier and confectioner based at Manor Stables Craft Centre, Fulbeck. Its founder, Ant, first caught the chocolate bug way back in his teens when he started moulding easter eggs in his parents’ kitchen and has named the company after his daughter. Delicisiously Grace will have a range of chocolate, pick ‘n’ mix, fudge and nougat and dietary options for vegan, gluten free and no added sugar. Deliciously Grace will also stock our cafe with their gift box chocolates so take a look! 

Forgotten Fare  - specialise in Medieval & Tudor through to Victorian and Vintage foods, using long forgotten recipes,to create herb, curry and spice blends, mulled wine kits, Tudor marmalades and those with a sweet tooth gingerbread and Gainsborough Tarts amongst much more! 


HomeMade Sweetness is a husband and wife business and they make variety of preserves and pickles, and we are proud of our product. Not only do we reduce the sugar content on our jams and marmalades we also try to use as much locally grown fruit and vegetables as possible.

Sues World of Honey is founded by Sue Heron who started beekeeping by accident after finding a swarm of bees in an apple tree at her small holding in West Torrington, Lincolnshire. The honey produced is 100% natural and has a beautiful fragrant and pungent taste that is simply delicious, we also create a unique range of flavoured honey glazes which are extremely popular. 


Juju Treats is Julia Shaw who is candle maker, tea selling and artist based in Lincoln. Juju Treats sell at many comicons conventions and themed subscription boxes online offering a range of flavoured loose teas and gift packages. 


Robin Rose Bakes (Sat only) are purveyors of gluten and dairy-free cake. Their main focus is on delivering fuss-free cakes that everyone can enjoy and that don’t compromise on taste or texture. With planet-friendly packaging and complete transparency on ingredients, they’re putting the joy back into free-from baking. 

Goods Plantbased Bakery (Sun only) are a family run vegan baking business in Lincoln, specialising in breads, cakes and afternoon tea. Goods stock our cafe with their range, so you can sample their vegan sausage rolls and gluten free cakes on your visit!
