A tour of the archaeology museum incorporating a history of forestry management techniques, cropping and uses of woodlands. This tour will include the folklore of woodlands and uses of wood through the ages from construction to carbon dating. We will also examine how our relationship with the woodlands has changed over time and discuss construction of the roundhouse, log boat and the Fiskerton boardwalk. This is a general tour to give a background and discussion of the subject and is suitable for adults and children.
