We are joined by historian Sinclair McKay with his new military title. Seventy five years after the event ‘Dresden’ is a gripping account of the allied bombing of the city which weaves the minute-by-minute military action of the bombing with the history of the city – before, during and after – and the lives of Dresdeners. It’s an incredibly human, moving history of a city and the few nights that devastated it. Historian Sinclair McKay is best known for his books on Bletchley Park and is a literary critic for the Telegraph and Sepectator.

A private view of the 'Bastion in the Air: A Century of Valour' has been arranged between 6pm and 7pm, before the talk begins, for event attenders at £1 reduction off the usual exhibition admission charge.
