An Artist’s Perspective: Creative Practice and the Archive with Ioney Smallhorne

We are pleased to be hosting this free talk, with Ioney Smallhorne, as part of the UK New Artists (UKNA) programme Taking Place: Lincoln.

A performance poet, writer, film-maker and educator, Ioney’s artistic practice is ignited by her Jamaican heritage, centres the Black British experience, and smoulders with womaness, blending the personal with the political. As a Spoken Word Educator she encourages people to harness the power of poetry.
