Usher Gallery Re-Hang. 'What's Going On' by Prof. Raimi Gbadamosi

The Collection invited Professor Raimi Gbadamosi, artist, writer and curator to bring new meaning to The Usher Gallery permanent displays by making a fresh selection of artworks from our stored collections, complemented by new loans of contemporary artworks to hang alongside the Usher Gallery’s familiar highlights. Titled What’s Going On?, the theme of this display is War and Power.

Kimathi Donkor, whose work is represented in the gallery, is a contemporary British artist who’s large-scale figurative paintings are rich in interwoven references to Western art, social and political events, and to the artist's own biography. He lives and works in London.
