Artist Christopher Wiles is working on an ambitious new project resulting in the creation of 1.5 acres of ecologically sustainable woodland in the heart of Lincolnshire and an exhibition of new works at The Collection in 2015. Wiles is looking to crowd-funding to help realise this exciting venture and is hoping to raise £2000 to kick-start the funding. In return, for donations over £10, Wiles is offering a signed, limited edition print produced especially for the project, your name credited in the exhibition catalogue and the opportunity to take part in the tree-planting in February 2015. Benefactors will also be entered into a draw to win an original Wiles painting, with one entry for every £10 donated.

The project will be divided into two phases; the first part of the project is the Woodland. This will see 1000 people planting 1000 trees to create the new woodland near Horncastle, Lincolnshire. Wiles will find volunteers through a series of art workshops at local schools, community groups and voluntary organisations which will also involve creating artworks to be used in the exhibition.  Ultimately, in 2015, The Collection will host an exhibition of Wiles' photorealistic paintings and drawings exploring the impact of digital technology on the natural landscape.
