Opem is the 3rd biennial open exhibition at The Collection, Lincoln, for artists living or working in the East Midlands and Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, North & North East Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire & East Riding. For the first time, all selected artists will receive funding to create a new work for the exhibition.


Selectors
Jess Flood-Paddock – Artist
Mark Leckey – Artist, Curator and Turner Prize winner 2008.


• All selected artist will receive a fee of £250 and up to £350 towards materials to produce a new piece of work to be displayed in the exhibition.
• Showcasing contemporary art practice in the region.
• For students, emerging and established artists
• Exhibition at The Collection in our main New Curtois Gallery.
• Artists will be chosen to display a substantial representative work or number of works.
• Applications are invited from contemporary artists working in any media including performance, live art and sound.


All entrants are invited to display their work in the OPEM3 on-line gallery, details of how to upload images will be sent to you on receipt of your application.

Artists informed of decision - 15/12/2013
Studio visits to discuss new work - January 2014
Installation w/c 19/05/2014
Preview - 23/05/2014
Exhibition - 24/05/2014 – 8/09/2014
