'Lincoln 3D Scans'

A project that started in 2012 has been brought to life further by Carina Lüschen for her Masters Degree at the HFBK Hamburg. Ashley Gallant from the Collection invited the artist Oliver Laric to propose an idea for the Contemporary Art Society’s Annual Award for museums back in 2012. The result was a selection of free data of 3D scans of sculpture and art, and was chosen as the winning project. Carina presented the model of "Hunter and His Dog" in an virtual reality installation in the exhibition room, where the visitor could move freely via full body tracking.

Visit lincoln3dscans.co.uk for more images of the scans created and further information on the project.
