A great volunteer placement opportunity has arisen for anyone interested in contemporary and historic art. During this placement successful applicants will be responsible for welcoming visitors to the exhibition, engaging in conversation with visitors and giving information as appropriate, ensuring the safety of the exhibits, checking that a high standard of presentation in the gallery is maintained, making sure that supporting materials, leaflets etc. are kept stocked up, amongst other things.
Training will be provided before the placement starts.
This opportunity will be great for anyone interested in curating exhibitions, studying art or even just curious as to how the gallery is run.
The placement with run from 10th January 2014 - 30th March 2014, working half day sessions (10am - 1pm, 1pm - 4pm) on days that suit the applicant.
